1. KANTA AT KALINGA - Next Saturday, October 13th, BUFSA will be hosting
one of our biggest events of the year at the Tsai Performance Center!
The event will promote, support and spread awareness about Gawad
Kalinga, an charitable organization aimed at fixing the problem of
poverty in the Philippines (and all over the world) through community
involvement (such as building villages and taking a holistic approach!).
Proceeds from this event will go directly towards building the very
first Boston University GK Village in the Philippines
a) 1 PM - We will be showing "Paraiso," an inspiring movie which
highlights the experiences of ordinary people who decided to become
heroes by donating their services to GK! Movie tickets are ONLY $5 and
it's for a GREAT cause!
b) 5 - 7 PM - Enjoy an evening GK concert featuring performances by
Filipina singing sensation Joey Albert, comedian Kevin Nadal, performer
Jay Legaspi and our very own Matt Pereyra. Tickets are only $10 for
students!

2. KUYA - ATE PROGRAM - Underclassmen, looking for a super cool older
brother or sister to show you the ropes? We are calling all
underclassmen who are interested in having a kuya or ate OR
upperclassmen who are interested in being one! You all know how great
this rogram is, so sign up today! If you are interested, e-mail Michelle
at mortega@bu.edu with your name, year, school, and interests!
3. FAMILY DINNER - Our weekly family dinner will be at West Campus
(Sleeper Hall Dining) tomorrow, Wednesday, October 2nd, 2007. Come catch
up with some friends and meet new ones! Look for us in the Claflin Hall
lobby at 6:30 PM. Everyones invited!
4. INTRAMURALS - The Little Brown Filipino Warriors storm Nickerson
Field as we prepare for our second intramural game of the season.
Warmups begin at 8:45 PM for the 9:30 game. Contact Alexander

LBFW Floor Hockey Recap (10/01): The Warriors suited up for their first
floor hockey game of the season and captured an exciting 5-1 victory,
with goals scored by Brian Parow (3), C Raymond Hidalgo (1) and Esp Elio
(1). Robjob Antonio, Ray Riego De Dios, and freshmen Thao Nguyen-Le and
Auburn Santo played terrific defense with the help of goalie Annamarie
"The Cat" Francisco. Newcomers Gabriel San Jose, Engineering Kristen,
Dalgo's friend Carolyn, and "James" provided the offensive spark needed
to secure the win. Get ready for a magical season!
