isn't over yet! Here is your daily dose of updates to make sure you're
up-to-date with BUFSA happenings.
1) BUFSA E-Board Elections are this Sunday, April 13th, at 1:30 PM.
The location is TBA. If you are interested in running for a position
on the executive board, please remember to send a letter of intent to
esp586@bu.edu AND jyabut@bu.edu by 4 P.M. on Saturday afternoon. You
will need to come dressed to impress and prepare a three minute speech
about why you want to run for each desired position and why you are
qualified to do so. Each member can run for up to two positions and
only active members of BUFSA can vote. (Descriptions of the various
positions are listed below)
2) Family Dinner will be at the GSU in Room 320 at 6:30 PM. At 7 PM,
there will be an info session about being on e-board where you can ask
questions and find out more about the different positions!
3) Relay For Life is this Friday! Sign up and help battle cancer along
with your FamilySA!
4) D1 Sosyal is Saturday - buy your $25 tickets from Carlo tomorrow at
Family Dinner.
EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS:
PRESIDENT: It shall be the duty of the president to call and preside
over meetings of the organization and all other duties coupled with
the livelihood of FSA.
VICE PRESIDENT: The vice president shall assist the president in all
functions and duties necessary to FSA, including overseeing of all
committees within the organization.
SECRETARY: The secretary shall be responsible for basic
administrative tasks, including the updated minutes of each and every
meeting, as well as the maintenance of all other written record of the
club and correspondence among members of the organization.
TREASURER: It shall be the duty of the treasurer to oversee all
organization funds, the
maintenance of all account activity including all expenditures and
profits; and she/he
will be responsible for signing all necessary paperwork with the
Student Activities
Office as the sole signatory for the funds of the organization.
Additionally, the
treasurer shall present fiscal report at the end of his/her first
semester term as well
as a final fiscal report at the end of the academic year.
INTERAL AFFAIRS OFFICER: It shall be the duty of the internal
affairs officer to be
responsible for any FSA activities within the Boston University community.
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICER: It shall be the duty of the external
affairs officer to be
responsible for any FSA activities outside the Boston University community.
PRODUCTIONS MANAGER/DANCE COORDINATOR (2): The production
manager/dance coordinators will
be in charge of coordinating the FSA cultural shows and dance
performances, including
Kamayan, ISA, etc.
SPORTS (RECREATIONS) COORDINATOR: The coordinator will be
responsible for FSA involvement
in Boston University (sports) activities, such as intramural
basketball, broomball, etc.
