enjoying their long weekend! Woop. Now time for some importante
announcements:
1. Family dinner is this Wednesday, April 23rd at the GSU. A group by
the name of Phi Iota Alpha is going to be having their "Walkout" event
on this same day at 5:30pm in BU Central. At this event they will be
showing the HBO exclusive "Walkout" about the Chicano movement in East
L.A. in 1968. In addition, they are having Paula Crisostomo from
California to answer questions about her experience as one of the
vital activists during this movement. FILIPINO FOOD will also be
served! So, for anyone who would like to go, just meet in the lower
level of the GSU by BU Central around 5:30pm. Call JP at 510-427-8330
or MO at 201-873-2325 if you have any questions the day of! We will
stay for the event and have dinner there. It will also be a great way
to show support for other groups on campus!
2. FSA Retreat is THIS FRIDAY, April 25th. If you have not already
sent your BU ID# to MO at mortega@bu.edu or Facebook messaged her,
please do it ASAP. WEDNESDAY WILL BE THE VERY LAST DAY TO HAND IN YOUR
BU ID#s. If we don't have it, then you will not be able to attend the
retreat. So please be sure to do this and pass this information on to
others! This is important!
3. Family Funday is THIS SUNDAY, April 27th at Magazine Beach, time is
TBA. Just save the afternoon for some fun in the sun with your
FamilySA!
